This is a well-loved classic and one of my all-time favorite books. I have read Mara, Daughter of the Nile at least five times, and I enjoy it every single time. I loved the adventure, the mystery, and the touch of romance, and the whole story felt original and exciting. It did not feel like a classic book at all. It was so well written that I felt completely pulled into its world from the very beginning. This is one of those books you never forget.
